DOH! I really really intended to make this a daily blog...gotta get in the habit!
Today was pretty un-remarkable - a fairly busy day at work (web servers, network hardware and applications break way too much), goofing around with the kids after work, a nap after dinner, and wasting time on the PC after the kids went to bed.
One interesting thing -
My friend Ben Douglas is still doing well at the PDGA World Championships. In fact, after day 4, three guys from Central IL who I know and who play together weekly are in the top 15 in the Advanced divison (the top amateur division)- Dustin Fee (10th), Ben Douglas (11th), and Grant Lonie (15th) - and another one of local boys in not far behind (Nate Yemm (35th). We've also got one of the top Open Masters players - Rob Strasser (28th).
So I guess I shouldn't feel so bad playing in the "lower division" in our league and/or getting smashed by big boys on a weekly basis - we've got some of the best disc golfers on the planet right here in our neck of the woods!!! I'm so proud. :-)
